Work Specification –FA Silo Fluidizing Blower Overhaul

1. Specific requirement
1.1.To perform FA Silo Fluidizing Blower overhaul

1.2.The work scope should include:


1.2.1. To overhaul 1(one) unit of FA Silo Fluidizing Blower overhaul
1.2.2. To supply Bearing, V-Belt and Seal
1.2.3. Part refurbishment (If any)
1.2.4. Dynamic balancing on shaft, lobe and pulley.
1.2.5. Dismantle and installation at site.
1.2.6. Blower alignment after installation.
1.2.7. Tools and working consumables.
1.2.8. To do coating/painting at blower
1.2.9. Mobilization and demobilization.

1.3.The following scope to be excluded:


1.3.1. Scaffolding work (if any)
1.3.2. Lube oil & grease

1.4.To call Owner for component inspection after disassembly completed and before
re-assembly started.

1.5.The selection on the blower will be decided by Owner.

1.6.Vibration reading will be taken during test run after the overhaul work. The test
run will be witnessed by Owner.
1.6.1. The vibration reading of the blower should be below 2.5 mm/s rms (ISO
10816-3).

1.7.To submit comprehensive report to Owner latest by 1 week after job completed.

1.8.The vendor shall provide warranty of the serviced equipment at minimum 6


months after the date of servicing.

1.9.If in case there is defected parts found during servicing, Vendor shall rectify and
provide replacement parts. The rectification and replacement should be clearly
itemized in the invoice.

2. General Requirement
2.1 The Company shall have sufficient experience in carrying out
Maintenance works in Coal Fired Power Plant. As such the management
of the company should be aware of the general requirement in terms of
Safety Practices, Work Procedures, liaised-on with Station Personnel etc.

2.2 The personnel are to be equipped with PPE such as:


2.2.1 Safety Helmet
2.2.2 Safety Shoes
2.2.3 Suitable clothing with long sleeve jacket (overall is
encouraged)
2.2.4 Gloves
2.2.5 Dust mask / Respirator
2.2.6 Safety Goggles (*)
2.2.7 Ear plug (*)
2.2.8 Safety Harness (*)
(*) These PPE's may not be required all the time. However, if they're
required by the Plant's Safety Rules, the Personnel (or the Company) is
expected to make it available.
2.3 Upon appointed/awarded for the job, the selected Contractor to submit its
“Site Manpower Set-up” to perform the task. The set-up shall state and not
limited to the following:
2.3.1 Contractor Job Representative/s
2.3.2 Manager
2.3.3 Work Supervisor
2.3.4 Safety Representative

2.4 The contractor to provide Name & Contact Number of the Person in
Charge for the job.

2.5 The PERSON IN CHARGE (later will be known as PIC) shall be the person
whose doing DIRECT SUPERVISION of the work AND will be the site
liaised-on person with Owner. The PIC shall be present ALL the time at the
WORKPLACE during his/her team performing the task.

2.6 All contractors working in TBPP shall have NIOSH Tenaga Safety Passport
(NTSP). Contractors will be prohibited from entering the plant if failed to
produce the passport at the entry point.

2.7 NO work shall be start, resume and proceed WITHOUT the appointed PIC
present at the workplace.

2.8 Upon completion of the job, the Contractor to read & sign on the Contractor
Performance Evaluation Form which is filled by the Owner, and later, the
signed form to be attached with the job invoice submission.

2.9 Site visit is MANDATORY.

3. Attachment required

3.1.With reference to Item 1.2; the contractor is to attach the cost breakdown to
reasonable detail (for reference in the evaluation process) as follows:

3.1.1. Overhaul one (1) FA Silo Fluidizing Blower;


3.1.1.1.To dismantle the blower from blower assembly.
3.1.1.2.To supply Bearings, V-belt and Seals
3.1.1.3.Shaft metal spray and machining.
3.1.1.4.To clean and examine (include NDT) all the parts for physical
defects, wear, corrosion and damage.
3.1.1.5.To check and record all necessary clearances as per recommended
acceptable criteria.
3.1.1.6.To carry out dynamic balancing of shaft, lobe and pulley.
3.1.1.7.To assemble blower at site.
3.1.1.8.To carry out alignment of motor & pump
3.1.1.9.To perform reinstallation of equipment at site by means of laser
pulley alignment.
3.1.1.10. To prepare surface painting of the pump casing and paint with two
coats of Nippon Jutomatic 87epoxy coating system for marine
application.
3.1.1.11. General housekeeping at the working area.
3.1.1.12. To be on standby during re-commissioning of the blower.

3.2.To attach Method Statement (or Work Procedure) and Inspection & Test
Procedure (ITP) checklist to describe in sufficient detail about how the work is to
be carried out and the inspection point(s) that is recommended by the contractor.
This shall base on the Vendor’s experience.

3.3.To attached list of previous similar jobs.

3.4.To attach related safety documents such as Hirac/ Job Safety Analysis.

3.5.To attach list of Tools, Equipment and Spares/ Consumables to be used.

3.6.Other additional information.
