MU Criminology Culmination Program Speech

Greetings/ Acknowledgements -

First of all I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for

inviting me as Resource Speaker to this Misamis University
College of Criminology Culmination Program. It is my honor and
pleasure to speak before you all today. And also my heartfelt
gratefulness for the College of Criminology of Misamis University
that despite of other more deserving government agencies,
Ozamiz City Fire Station was selected as one of the agencies to
host criminology students undergoing the college’s internship
program.

My warmest congratulations to the Criminology Interns batch

MATATAG of 2023 for your successful completion of your
internship. It is just and right to celebrate and recognize your
achievements as graduating students. This culmination program
is a memorable day for you all because it is the day where you
see and feel the fruits of your long hardships, sacrifices and
efforts. I would also like to congratulate the proud parents as well
as all the teaching force of MU College of Criminology headed by
the Intern Adviser and Dean in their untiring commitment in
running an internship program that provide valuable practical
experiences and exposures to various aspects in the field of
criminology.

I would just like to ask the students when you had your
internship at Ozamiz City Fire Station, naa ra ba moy nakat
unan? Nag enjoy ra ba pod mo and memorable ra ba inyo
experience? Good! Hosting intern criminology students is an
additional tasks and challenge. Our reward in teaching you all our
knowledge, skills and expertise in the fields of fire prevention, fire
suppression, EMS, and rescue, is to know that you learn
something from us and you enjoy and having a memorable
experience while learning.

I hope and pray that I will see many of you as law enforcers in
the Bureau of Fire Protection. With the advent of the
modernization of the Bureau of Fire Protection in relation to
Republic Act 11589 or the Bureau of Fire Protection
Modernization Act, you, as new entrants, will greatly benefit and
experience the modernize prevention and suppression of all
destructive fires, of course with the active support of the
community. Because of this law, plans and programs will be
formulated and implemented to enhance and modernize the BFP,
expand its mandate and capability, and ensure its
responsiveness to the changing public safety needs of the
community.

As a closing, my dear students this culmination program marks

the beginning of another journey that you will be taking. I
encourage you to continue pursuing your goal and make a good
and positive impact to the field you have chosen. Always
remember my dear students that quitters never win and winners
never quit.
