UNIVERSITY SERIES BOOK

INTRODUCTION
University Series is a sequence of stories written by author Gwy Saludes, also known by
her pseudonym as 4reuminct. The series focuses on the stories of seven friends; Luna, Yanna,
Sevi, Sam, Via, Arkin and Kierra's lives from their university days to the present day. It’s all
about love and career. The series' settings heavily focuses on their respective universities,
which are the most prestigious and famous universities in the Philippines. They have different
profession’s. Architects, Lawyers, Pilots, Flight Attendant, Model, Doctors, Actor, Director, and
Engineers. They went through a lot, break ups, having a family problem, losing a loved one,
almost not achieving their dream, sacrificing their lives to get justice for the woman he loves. In
this book we will realize that don't chase love, put yourself first, achieve your dreams, because
love can wait.

SUMMARY
 In a family of doctors, Kalix decided to take a different path and found himself studying
Legal Management in Ateneo De Manila University. With family pressure on him, he
tried so hard to maintain his high grades as a Dean's Lister until Luna from UST
Architecture came.
 Hiro, a student pilot from DLSU, was very clear with his number one goal in life. It was to
study in the best flying school in Florida. However, he agreed to have a no strings
attached relationship with Yanna from FEU Tourism, the woman who cannot be tamed
with her sexcapades.
 Sevi, the team captain of Growling Tigers, never expected to fall in love again after his
first heartbreak with his bestfriend, Luna. until he met Elyse, the spoiled cheerleader
from La Salle.
 Samantha Vera from Ateneo De Manila University, the epitome of kindness, empathy,
grace, and solicitude got her life ruined when her parents told her that she was marrying
Clyden Ramirez, a med student from UP, after their graduation.
 Ever since they were kids, Avianna Diaz from UST Architecture and Larkin Sanchez from
UP Film were inseparable, not until Larkin's fame grew over time, and they suddenly
found themselves taking different roads at the same time.
 Past experiences. Broken hearts. Present tragedy. Those are the things Kierra Ynares
from UST Architecture and Shan Lopez from DLSU Psychology have in common. No
matter how wretched their similarities are, they still found ways to escape... to look
forward to tomorrow, and keep everything that happened yesterday behind.
 REVIEW/CRITIQUE
University Series is one of my best series that I’ve read, also this is one of my favourite
series in Wattpad.
I think the selling points of this series is that it’s rich with humor, it talks about societal
issues that we often shy away from or that we consider taboo, and there is a lot of personal
development in the characters. From my perspective and opinion, character growth is vital. I
can read a cliché plotline with good character growth and still like it. And I think that’s the
author’s strongest point ㅡ her characters. Because although it’s still not yet the best when it
comes to the quality of writing, I fell in love with the characters and their individual and
collective personalities.
The only problem with the story is, the author narrates a lot, and there are only a few
dialogues. and also the spacing but it's okay because he writes cleanly and also it doesn't hurt
the eyes to read.

CONCLUSION
 Samantha being pressured by her parents to pursue a career that she didn't want and being
forced to marry Clyden for connections. Everything goes fine after her engagement not until
her half-sister and the one who pushed her to become a model, Naomi, killed herself. She
can't even grieve properly because she has to deal with her parents being insensitive and
Clyden's parents putting an end to her engagement with their son. She still has to live with the
guilt of not being there for her sister after some times have passed and she sacrificed her
relationship with Clyden two times before they finally got together.
 Kierra being abused by her former boyfriend, Miguel, and Luna being absolutely horrified once
she found out what Kierra is going through after numerous attempts of denying that nothing's
wrong with her relationship with Miguel.
 Elyse's father taking advantage of Sevi's mother and sexually harassing her, resulting in her
getting pregnant because of it. This was one of the reasons why Sevi and Elyse decided to put
a stop to their five-year relationship.
 Shan scarifies his life to give justice for Kierra.
