FAQs for Amazon SDE 2 Month Internship Role (Batch of 2024)

Q1. Stipend details for 2 month SDE internship .


Answer: Stipend value- Rs. 80,000 per month
Relocation allowance- entitled to EUR 400 per month. These funds can also be used towards other expenses such as
checking baggage, utilities, furnishings, etc. The amount is in EUR and will be converted to local currency at time of
payment. The actual amount received will be prorated based on the number of days of internship. For internships
lasting three months or less, a one-time stipend payment will be paid approximately 45 days prior to start date. Should
internship last beyond three months, a monthly payment begins in fourth month.
Meal card of INR 1,100 per month

Q2. What is the Date of Joining?


Answer: Joining Date for 2 month interns (2024 graduates) would be May’23 onwards.

Q3. What is the Joining Location?


Answer: While we take the top three preferences for location from offered candidates and try to accommodate within those
locations, the final joining location is based on business requirements. We have offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and
Pune, Delhi.

Q4. What are the Eligibility criteria?


Answer. Please find below the eligibility criteria:
• Year of passing for 2 month – 2024 only
• B.Tech./ B.E / MTech only. Eligible branches include CS, IT and Circuit (electrical / electronics) only
• Graduation/Post Graduation with CGPA of 6.5 and above.
• No active backlog/arrear.

Please note: If a candidate holds any internship/ FTE offer from Amazon for SDE or any other role, they are not eligible to
apply for the internship.

Q5. What is the Selection Process?


Answer: Please find below the selection process:
• Online Assessment (coding, problem solving, workstyle assessment)
• Interview Process – 1 round

Q6. If a candidate is joining/joined Amazon as 2 month intern, can they apply for SDE FTE FY’23 ?
Answer: If a candidate is joining/already joined as 2 month intern then they are not eligible to apply for SDE FTE FY’23 role.
They will be evaluated at the end of the internship period for direct FTE role (pre-placement offer).

Q7. What is the interview cooling period policy of Amazon?


Answer: The interview cooling period is 6 months from the last interview date.

Q8. Does Amazon share the quantitative grading/ranking details of 2 month and 6 month interns with
colleges?
Answer: Amazon doesn’t share any quantitative grading/ranking information of the candidates who are selected for 2
months/6 months internship with the college.
FAQs for Amazon 2 month SDE Internship Online Assesssment
• Instructions for Online assessment

Once started with the online assessment you cannot stop and restart; so do not click on the link until you are ready
to complete the online assessment in its entirety.

In preparation for the online assessment, please read this email fully (including Q&A at the end of the email invite)
to understand instructions you need to follow before you start the test, during the test and after completing the
test. Once you are ready, set aside a block of 3.5 – 4 hours of uninterrupted time and follow the link provided below
to start the online assessment.

About the Online Assessment


The online assessment consists of the following sections:
• Coding Assessment: This portion of the online assessment consists a coding section using C, C++, C#, Go, Java,
JavaScript, Kotlin, Objective C, Python, Ruby, Scala, or Swift, and will take approximately 70 minutes to complete.
During the coding section, you may use online resources that are publicly accessible to everyone (e.g., the JDK or
STL), but please do not access sites that require a login or are private repositories (Note: Browser usage is logged).
• Workstyles Assessment: This is built around Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and typically takes 10-15 minutes to
complete. In this section, we ask you to choose what extent a provided statement represents your work style

How to prepare for the assessment:

1. We suggest you watch the Coding Assessment demo prior to taking it, which highlights the user interface
and resources. You can also take a practice test before beginning here.

2. Ensure that you are taking the Online Assessment on a laptop or desktop computer that meets the
following requirements:

• Internet browser: Google Chrome version 10+, Mozilla Firefox version 31+, Internet Explorer version 10+,
Microsoft Edge version 18+, or Safari version 10+.
• Bandwidth: At least 5 Mbps or the videos will be slow when loading.
• Enable the following on your computer: Active Scripting (JavaScript), Session Cookies, CSS, AJAX.
• Minimum screen resolution: 1024 x 768.
• We do not recommend mobile devices or tablets due to limited functionality and user-interface experience.
• Please ensure you have a reliable Internet connection when completing the assessment.

3. Other tips and advice for taking the assessment:

• When you are ready to begin, please set aside at least 3.5 hours of uninterrupted time.
• During the Coding Assessment, you may use publicly accessible online resources (e.g., the JDK or STL), but
please do not access sites that require a login or are private repositories. Browser usage is logged.
• Manage your time wisely. If you get stuck on a coding problem, move to the next problem and revisit
questions as needed.
• Do not leverage the print screen functionality as your session will be terminated, and you will be locked
out. Also, avoid using copy/paste in the Coding Assessment.

Technical Issues?

• There are troubleshooting guides if you are experiencing technical issues within the assessment.
• If those do not work, please examine closely where you left off, log out, and log back in using the same
online assessment link you used for starting the test. Do not repeatedly refresh the screen.
• For additional troubleshooting tips during the coding portion, please see the FAQs or use the live chat
feature for assistance. If the online assessment link is redirecting you to a login page, we suggest you
double-check that both pop-up blocker and ad-blocker has been disabled on your browser. If you are using
Chrome, try Mozilla or a separate browser. Also, try clearing cookies or loading in Incognito/Private
browsing mode.

What happens when you finish the Online Assessment?


1. Once you have submitted the online assessment, a confirmation page should appear verifying your completion
and thanking you for your participation. If you don’t see this page after 2 minutes, close your browser.
2. If you do not receive a completion email within 24 hours of completing the online assessment then reach out to
us at amazon-indiacampussde@amazon.com.

Q: How can I prepare for the online assessment?


A: Brushing up on your C++, C#, Java and Python coding skills will be useful for the coding test. Click here to review
two practice questions on the platform. This will not be scored and has no impact on your final outcome. No specific
Amazon or functional knowledge/skills are required for other exercises although the work simulation may need
some knowledge of programming languages. Setting aside an appropriate amount of time (listed in instructions
above) and finding a quiet location are the most important considerations.

Q: What happens after I complete the online assessment?


A: After you complete the online assessment, please wait for Amazon Student Programs to contact you regarding
next steps.

Q: I cannot complete the online assessment within the time allocated and need an extension? What should I do?
A: Amazon hires on a rolling basis and a delay in completing the online assessment may impact your candidacy. We
encourage you to complete the assessment within the timeframe specified, however, if there are special
circumstances that require an extension, please email amazon-indiacampussde@amazon.com and someone
from the team will follow up within 3 business days.

After completing the assessment, on candidate portal the assessment option is closed and candidate can continue to
track the application. Below is the screen.
Candidate cannot reapply for the test already taken. The below message will pop-up.
