No. one can deny the importance of time specially in our modern world. We all know
that God has provided us with a certain span of time i.e. the duration of our life. We
have to discharge all our responsibilities in such a short span of time. Children
generally do not care for time. But, they should remember that this period, is the golden
period of their life. This is the period
when they can shape their career, their
personality and their life according to
their desires. If they fail to do so, they will
have to accept what others give them.
So, every one should understand the
value of time. We should do our work in
time. We should not waste our important
time. If you lose one hour, you would not
get this one hour in your life again. It is
rightly said, "Time and tide wait for none."
It means every one should do his work in
time otherwise he may not get time to do
that work

Suppose your teacher gives your class a learning work. Next day in class all the
students tell the teacher what they had learnt. But you do not tell anything as you have
not learnt the topic. The teacher gives another topic to learn. Will you get another extra
day to complete both the home
works? No, you will have to complete
both your tasks on the same day.
Now tel! me who will learn better,
other students of your class or you?
You cannot learn both the topics
properly because of extra pending
work. In this way you will be running
behind other students. Therefore,
you should complete your work in
prescribed period of time . Some
children start preparing for exams
whey they are left with a few days for the preparation These children study day and
night but they fail to do better in their exam1nat1ons A child who studies for a few hours
regularly always does better in his exams You might have heard the story of a rabbit
and a tortoise. The story illustrates that slow and steady wins the race. Therefore you
should give importance to time.

Children generally get confused about what to do and
at what time. It is because they do not follow a routine.
So they fail to set their work on the scale of priority.
Some children read the same subjects many times
and leave the other subjects untouched. Sometimes,
they start playing when they have to study. But, if you
make a time table for your work and follow it honestly
you will certainly get rid of such kind of problems. So,
prepare a time table for your daily work and follow it.

Amit was a bright little boy. But he neither read
the lesson that was going to be taught in the
class that day nor he studied or revised the topic
which was taught earlier.
There were three months left for his exams. He
thought to himself, 1 can prepare for my

examinations only in a few days."

-- Amit used to play with his friends till late

evening. He generally got tired and did not
study in the evening. He did not even arrange
his school bag for the next day. He thought
that he would do it in the morning. In this way
he usually left one or two books at home in
hurry. At school, he sat dumb while others
read the books along with the teacher. He had
~ to face difficulty without the book. So, he could
not understand the chapter well. After coming
back to home he went to play and followed the
same routine. He thought that he had enough
time for the preparation.
Days passed by in a similar way. One day while playing cricket, Amit's foot got into a pit
and he fell down. He had fractured his leg and was plastered. He could not go to
school. He missed his classes for a month.
Amit began to go to school but, he had
missed a lot of studies and covering up the
course seemed very difficult. He had to put
in more time into studies and had so much
to study everyday. He had to study all that
taught in the past. There were only few
days left for exams. The time table of the
examination was set. He sat at his table to

study. There were a number of subjects to study but the time was less He tried to read
and read and followed very less. He said to himself, If I had studied daily and gwen
more time everyday, I would not have faced this problem." Finally he appeared n h s
exams but could not do well.
