INTRODUCTION
THE JARDINE FOUNDATION WAS SET UP IN 1982 TO MARK
THE 150 TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE JARDINE MATHESON
GROUP. THE EDUCATIONAL TRUST PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS
TO OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITIES FOR STUDENTS
FROM THE COUNTRIES WHERE THE JARDINE MATHESON
GROUP HAS OPERATIONS.

The Jardine Foundation’s goal is to develop future leaders who aspire to


give back to the communities where we operate. Scholarships are available
for courses at Oxford and Cambridge, with preference being given to
undergraduate courses at the following Colleges:

Exeter, Oriel, The Queen’s, Trinity

In addition to scholarships for undergraduate studies, the Foundation also


offers a limited number of applications for scholarships for postgraduate
studies. Potential candidates will generally be recommended through
the preferred colleges at Oxford and Cambridge from those students who
have already been accepted by the Universities to carry out postgraduate
courses.

OXFORD Since the launch of the Foundation, scholarships have been awarded to
over 380 outstanding students from Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand
and Vietnam.

The Jardine Foundation provides excellent opportunities for outstanding
young persons to benefit from the unique qualities of an Oxbridge
education. The Scholarship Committee is delighted to note that over
380 Jardine Scholarships have now been awarded to extraordinary
individuals from 11 countries.

Within the Oxbridge collegiate system, students of all disciplines benefit


from the free exchange of ideas and experiences at their college, within

TO BE AWARDED A JARDINE SCHOLARSHIP, APPLICANTS NEED
TO ACHIEVE OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC STANDARDS. THE
FOUNDATION ALSO VALUES INDIVIDUALS WHO DEMONSTRATE
LEADERSHIP, COMPASSION AND A SOLID CONNECTION TO THE
COMMUNITY THEY LIVE IN.

ELIGIBILITY
