ACTIVITY IN CLASS

WHICH FORM IS BETTER

In the painting industries, the round brush and the flat or fine brush are used. For example, in
painting, a round brush is used to draw and calligraphy with greater precision, on the other
hand, a flat brush is used when you want to cover a larger area with paint and thus obtain quick
results in less time, in the same way that the former is more stable to use.
Flat brushes are easier to control, so the shapes we want to paint will have fewer errors and will
be more perfect.
On the contrary, the conventional brush is more unruly, it has a kind of separation and a triangle
shape, which causes it to get out of control and make mistakes.
HOW TO KNOW which of the two brushes is better?
This question must be answered while you are using it and depending on the work you are doing
because, as explained before, these brushes are used in different activities when painting, for
example, if you want a more precise job, I recommend using a round brush, but if you are in a
hurry and want to finish as quickly as possible it is better to use a flat brush
Is there an ease of use?
Of course, the round brush is much easier to handle due to its small size and greater precision,
while the brush is more robust and occupies a larger work area, which can cause errors or
failures in the work.
Does it have more attractive visual sense?
For both cases, the objective is the same, to be able to paint the entire work area, but if you want
a more attractive visual effect, it is recommended to use the round brush because you can do the
edges, the strokes, and of course, the small details that may have the image
For example, in painting a round brush is used for drawing and calligraphy.

A flat brush is used for laying down paint, It covers more surface area with fewer strokes, and
it’s also more stable to use. The flat brushes are easier to control, so when we think about how
the form of the brush shows the purpose the flat brush makes so much more sense.

In use, the flat brush is so much more stable, I find that when I use this flat brush, I make fewer
mistakes and it covers more surface area.

In contrast, the conventional brush is more unruly, It wants to kind of splay and form a triangle
and the kind of go wild and make mistakes.

HOW TO KNOW when “form follows function” has been achieved?

I think this question should be answered while you’re using it

Is there an ease in use?

Does it make sense visually and functionally?

In the case of the nail polish brush, it is so much easier to use than the traditional brushes.

Why is it important to show clarity of purpose in the form of a product?

This idea of form follows function is so important to product design because it’s about
achieving clarity of purpose.

When a product is clear in its purpose, it is honest, simple, straightforward.
