Fabricated Steel Piping

The 01-SAMSS-010 specification outlines the minimum mandatory requirements for fabricating steel pipe
spools, including welding, heat treatment, and threading processes. It applies to piping made of high
strength special steel or alloy steels used in both low and high-temperature applications.

Any exceptions or additional requirements specific to the project will be specified in the Purchase Order or
its attachments. The governing code for the fabrication shall be ASME B31.3, unless the Purchase Order
specifies B31.1, B31.4, or B31.8 as required.
