It has been a very momentous and a hectic year so far for all of us. We have a fair share of success in both
Balea Azul and Tupi Topsides Engineering projects. We have had a fair bit of failures also. I have always felt
that we should acknowledge failure as much as we acknowledge success. We have learnt many lessons. We
need to have a hard look at the failures and bring in measures to correct and make sure that we do not repeat
the same. We now have many systems and processes in place to make sure we do not repeat the mistakes.
When I say it has been a momentous year, it really has been. After 10 years of serving our clients, we felt we
were ready to be quality Audited by an external agency. We got ABS ( American Bureau Of Shipping) to audit
our systems and procedures and we were awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification in May this year. The QA
team headed by Ms. Rekha N has worked tirelessly to make sure that all the documentation was in order for
us to be Certified and everyone of you have contributed immensely for us to have achieved this milestone.
As I always say ‘ Quality is a Mindset’ and certification by an external agency is just consequential. I
congratulate everyone of you to have achieved this milestone.
It has been also momentous in many other ways. We now have a firm Business Plan in place to grow your
company into a larger organisation. Mr. Praveen, our Operations Head, has been working sleeplessly to put a
comprehensive failure proof plan. We have now embarked on this road with the acquisition of a new piece
of land located about 2.5 kilometres from our present facility. We are now in the process of freezing the
Building plans and the new building is slated to house upto 700 employees. This would be a state of art
facility. I solicit your co-operation in making this a success.
I am personally very enthusiastic about the future of your company and am keenly looking forward to make
it grow along with all of you.

Kerala is one of the smallest states in the Republic of India, and a land of great natural beauty. The modern
Kerala was formed in 1956 when India was reformed into states based on language.
Kerala is a small state situated at the southwest corner of India. The land which Parasurama (sixth
of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu) retrieved with his axe. The land blessed by nature. The land
of festivals. The land of coconut trees. And the land of complete literacy.
Kerala is the land of natural beauty. That’s why we call it the 'God's own country!'. Kerala has got
44 rivers, many lakes, hills and mountains add to its natural beauty.
The climate is equable and varies little from season to season. The temperature normally ranges from 80 to
90 F in the northeast monsoons, and the rainfall is heavy, averaging around 118 inches annually.

ARTS OF KERALA
Kathakali
Kathakali ("story play") is the classical dance drama of Kerala,
which dates from the 17th century and is rooted in Hindu
mythology. Kathakali has a unique combination of literature, music,
painting, acting and dance.
Kathakali draws heavily from drama and is danced with elaborate
masks and costumes. Kathakali recitals are generally long and
while other dance forms are more emotive than narrative,
Kathakali is both. It combines dance with dialogue to bring myth
and legend to life in the temple courtyards of Kerala. The dancers
use their stunning costumes and make-up, with the accompaniment
of the drums and vocalists, to create various moods and emotions.
Mohiniyattam
This classical dance form of Kerala was first performed by women
in temples, over a thousand years ago, as an offering to God, their
beloved. The movements may appear simple, but effort is required to
capture the grace, suggestive of ocean waves, as seen in goddess
Mohini, the Enchantress. This dance form exudes enchantment
grace and passion. Mohiniyattam is a fusion of ' Bharathanatyam ' and '
Kathakali ', as it combines the graceful elegance of Bharatanatyam
and dynamism and vigor of Kathakali. The performances are done
only by women. In Mohiniyattam, the Lasya element of dancing is
predominant and the mood created is Srinagaram (Erotic).
Mohiniyattam literally means the “Dance of the Temptress”
Theyyam
Theyyam is a ritualistic dance with its rare and grotesque make-up and
costume, lively foot work, gymnastic fervor and ritualistic vitality.
Theyyam represents a glorious period of folk life in Kerala and
the souls of the dead heroes of the land and the gods and goddesses
are supposed to come in our midst through the medium of the
possessed dancers and converse with us on matters of even
contemporary significance. It is the worship of spirits by invoking them
to the mortal body of the dancer who impersonates them and gives
blessing to the believers. Theyyam evolves from Kaliyattam practiced
by aboriginal tribes of northern regions of the state. Kaliyattam is
an annual festival attached to the shrines known by the names
like muchilod, kavu, palliyara, mundya, tanam, madhapura all in
the districts of Kannur.
TOURIST PARADISE
Kerala enjoys unique geographic features that
have made it one of the most sought after tourist
destination in Asia. An equable climate. A long
shoreline with serene beaches. Tranquil stretches
of emerald backwaters.
