National Foreword

This Philippine National Standard is identical with International Standard ISO

13769:2018 Gas cylinders — Stamp marking. It was approved as Philippine National
Standard by the Bureau of Philippine Standards upon the recommendation of the
Technical Committee on Gas cylinders (BPS/TC 6).

Within the text of the standard, the following are the minimal editorial changes:

a) the decimal comma shall be interpreted as a decimal point to be consistent with the
existing Philippine convention on number formatting;

b) the words “International Standard” shall mean “Philippine National Standard”.

The provisions in this PNS are voluntary in nature and may be used as reference by
any interested party. Compliance to this Standard or part/s thereof is voluntary unless
otherwise imposed or referred into by law, public policy or in a contract. Existing laws or
regulations shall prevail when there is conflict with this PNS.
