Activity 1
Direction: Using the three overlapping circles, you are going to supply your understanding about the
following topics indicated in each circle. This is how it works; in the three big spaces you are going to
supply the differences of the three topics. The second one, you will write the similarities of the two
adjacent topics (such as CP which stands for Culture and Politics). Lastly, the center space will occupy
the similarities of the three topics.

THREE-CIRCLE VENN DIAGRAM

Culture, according to anthropologists, is
"the totality of all acquired behaviors
transmitted from generation to
generation by a specific social group." It,
therefore, encompasses anything of that
sort. Technology, gastronomy, fashion,
architecture, arts and crafts, literature
and legend, religion and ritual, and so
forth. The forms of social organization
and family structure.

three main points.

1. Cultural variation
✔ ensue within societies but also between them.
✔ The distinctive cultural variation of various subgroups are the main cause of
cultural variability within a society.

display. In addition to gender roles, economic structures, and social hierarchies,
there are many more humanly arranged behaviors that vary from one culture to the
next, including cuisine and art.
2. Social differences

✔ It makes an effort to deepen our understanding of social phenomena as well as
the behavior of individuals and groups.

orientation, age, religion, ability, and status, are given advantages and supremacy.
3. Political identities

which people identify, as well as how a person's identity may influence their politics.

ethnic, gender, or other interests that define a group identity

Activity 3
Picture Reflection

Instruction:
Racism is once again the hottest issue in our world today. Thus, several cases of discrimination
specifically to the black people have been constantly reported. As a result, it became a talk of the world,
and many people protested against it.
Now, I want you to look at the picture very carefully. After that, I want you to write what you feel
about the message that the picture tries to convey. Write at least four to five sentences.
The picture shows prejudice and racial injustice toward black people. Everywhere you turn,

there is a creative defense for how people of color are treated, and the most recent one is that

children will only grow up to be a burden on society who are violent, lazy, and unproductive. Black

adults are often more likely than white adults to think that black people experience unjust

treatment in their communities and across the country. People may be taught to love since it

comes more naturally to human hearts than its antithesis. If people can learn to hate, they can

also be taught to love. I firmly believe that action must be taken in the area of racism in order to

stop new generations from making the same mistakes that previous generations have.
FINAL TASK
MAKE YOUR STAND

Direction: For this activity, you will choose one between the two issues presented below. What you are
to do, you need to make your stand, by using Cultural, Social or Political stand depending on the issue
that you will choose. Write a paragraph thoughts, consisting five sentences or more.
RACISM

Our country's spirit and the hearts of millions of people are marked with anguish. To stand

together, we must defend one another and acknowledge the fear, sorrow, and unhappiness that

George Floyd's tragic death and a far longer history of racism have rightfully stoked. Not only is

that traumatic past still evident in the form of violence, but it is also felt daily in the form of

ingrained discrimination. The gaps in local services and educational opportunities for our children,

the disproportionate toll that sickness has on Black and Brown communities, and our criminal

justice system are examples of this. Despite the fact that our laws have evolved, not everyone is

still protected by them. Although there has been improvement since America I grew up, it is also

true that communities of color still face trauma and discrimination. A lot of you have expressed to

me how fearful and afraid of your neighborhoods, afraid in your daily activities, and worst of all is

frightened in your own skin. Without ensuring that everyone who loves, works, and lives in this

country is free from terror, we cannot have a civilization worth celebrating. In face of a sorrow

that is keenly felt but all too frequently disregarded, we must reevaluate our own beliefs and

behaviors in order to bring about change. Human dignity issues cannot be viewed from the

sidelines. We recognize you, the black community. Your life matters as well as yours.
