Presentation of objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
1. define mean, median and mode
2. analyze the mean, median and mode of statistical data

in real life situation.
Definition of terms:
Measures of Central Tendency
-Measure of central location
-it is the summary of measure that attempts to describe a whole set
of data with a single value that represent the middle or center of its
distribution. (Tells where the center of the data is located).

Three types of measures of central tendency


1. Mean- Most commonly use measure of central tendency

Example 1. Six students from grade 7-Courtesy received test


scores of 55, 60, 45, 35, 30, and 55. Find the mean of these test
