Assignment objectives:

This assignment has been designed for the purpose of imparting conceptual understanding of
different models of attention and making a comparison between models of attention.

Dear students;

Attention is commonly discussed phenomenon in the domain of cognitive psychology area.


Attention plays a crucial role in this stage of selection of information. Different models of
attention have been discussed in Lesson 08 and 09 of your course cognitive psychology. You
are required to read the description in the first column of the table, identify the model of
attention in column 2, justify (in the last column) the model with the help of one example.

There is a general limit on a person’s
capacity to perform mental work. A person
has considerable control over how this
