Class of Cristeros SIR #4

Experience
It was siesta time on August 24 when I was finishing up notating a song for music
practice. I felt sleepy and tired after finishing it. I had about five minutes to rest before
the daytime prayer. Then I thought of why I did not have my siesta. My eyes were tired
but I did not take a power nap within that five minutes. Somehow I managed to be awake
in teaching the song to the seminarians. Well, they sang well and for me, it was a bit of
rewarding though I was tired of notating the piece.
Social Analysis
Maybe most of us don’t like to sacrifice our time for things worth for good.
Sometimes we just want to exert little effort because we get easily tired when doing
much. I read on the internet that says “I’d rather be tired than broke”. As long as I like it,
the kind of tiredness I am getting is something that is rewarding.
Spiritual reflection
Encountering challenges like these gives me courage and strength. Being able to
sacrifice my time is an avenue for me to grow in mind and in spirit.
Pastoral Action
I will practice sacrificing my time for greater things. I will try to be like a good
servant; one who knows how to initiate things and knows how to listen and coordinate
with his master.
