Development Plan

A country faces severe problems due to the effects of a five-year war. Nevertheless, finally, this country
has achieved peace. This plan aims to advise the government on how to go forward and lead a good,
healthy and prosperous life for its citizens.

Infrastructure And Mining

Infrastructure plays a key role in a country to be up and running. Especially if it has been at war;
however, to build, you need money; to gain money, you must sell. Luckily this country has numerous
natural resources, like copper. The copper of sale is a good way to earn money to improve infrastructure.
However, to sell copper, you need to mine it. According to our sources, miners need to be paid for their
work. The only way to overcome this problem is to contract with the miners. This contract will entail the
following:
1. Clean water and food will be provided to the families of the Miners.
2. Miners will be paid 35 US Dollars per hour.
3. Miners will not be paid in the first two months as the funds have yet to be located.
4. Miners and their families will be in houses with all the basic needs.
Additionally, aid can also help. For example, we work with an aid agency called Emergency Aid that can
help build roads and basic infrastructure that will help until enough money is garnered to build better
infrastructure.

Farming And Medicine

This country is on the coastline, so the land is fertile and suitable for farming. However, landmines are
spread throughout the area, which makes farming very dangerous. Emergency Aid can help remove
landmines, providing clean water and medicine. After the landmines have been removed, farmers can
start farming. Reports say that due to war, there are a sufficient number of nurses and doctors in the
country.
Nevertheless, doctors and nurses are leaving the country due to money issues. This can not be solved in a
few months. Clean water is important for the health of the citizens. Emergency Aid can also help with
this. To permanently solve this problem and many others, we propose that you consider a Goal Approach.
The 3 Short-Term and Long Term Goals
3 Short Term Goal

Medical Support- Countries after the war are seriously affected in the medical district as soldiers and their
families can be seriously injured. Much help in this area can come from the residents of the country.
People who know even the basics of treating wounds and such can help. People who need to be trained
can be taught the basics and pull their weight. Of course, only some have to help just in the medical area.
2

Financial Support- Due to war, most people in the country cannot access funds. The government of this
country must see how important its role is. Retired people should be allowed to access their pensions.
Families who require money immediately should have some money wired to them. To raise money, the
government should set up websites on which people can donate money. To make more people donate, set
a goal that should be completed in time. This will gain more attention, and people will try to complete the
goal. Another way is reducing the amount of tax paid by residents. This will help families save money,
and the government will not have to spend much money in the long run.

Security- The country must be safe, especially if it has just been through a war. Securing the borders will
provide a sense of security to the residents and ensure that another war does not come knocking on your
door without you knowing about it. Having some soldiers patrol the borders will go a long way if done
properly.

3 Long Term Goals

Education- For the future to be bright, the country's children need proper education. An aid agency
called Sustainable Future can help a lot. They help countries to develop a better future by providing
education and help in the industry. Educated parents can help a lot as they can teach the students in their
area how to read and write. If parents collaborate with aid agencies, they can bring the education
standards to a high level.

Economy- Core Manufacturing is the biggest asset as far as improving the economy of a country is
concerned. A country's economy improves when exports are more, and imports are less. For example, this
country has a lot of natural resources like copper and crops after the extraction of landmines. Therefore, if
the exports of materials like copper and crops are more than the import of items, more money is saved,
and the economy is improved.

Food Security- Food needs to be secured. To o so removing landmines from the country is important.
Farming will provide sufficient food for the residents. However, as the crops grow food will still be
needed. The best the government can do is to have food imported to them. Emergency food supplies and
military food supplies will provide enough for the country as its crops grow and exports increase.
