approach to design, and critical analysis of
ideas with peers.
Kids start learning science but not much
emphasis is given to the scientific
approach. One can score 90 plus in
Science but, this doesn't make them a
scientist or an innovator. They are yet to
learn how to do science! Such approaches
are rarely taught and nurtured. Kids have
a lot of information but, it doesn't make
them think!

Kids need the right mentoring and

the right platform to experience science
and get adequate practice. To develop
reasoning abilities we need to motivate
them with a question, guide them through
the thought process and introduce them
to how fun it is to discover rather than
explain with facts!

The summer program at Evolvingminds

focuses on the approach that plays a vital
role in education. Also, it provides a
platform for them to join the foundation
Journey -- a decade-long program that
helps them become the innovators of
tomorrow.

WHAT KIDS
EXPERIENCE?

A kid at Evolvingminds will be asked a

Thought-provoking question (TPQ) in
every session and will be motivated to
draw their ideas and explore possibilities.
These ideas will then be discussed with
the peer group where they get to study
the pros and cons, and get an opportunity
to debate and present it. The mentor will
try these raw ideas generated by the
participant by converting them into a
simple experiment which will be
performed in the class as a demonstration
or can be performed by the participants.
These are absolutely live moments in the
class!

Participants then learn to design their

ideas and convert them to working
models by themselves. This way of
learning builds confidence in them and
brings out a sense of responsibility for
design and science learning.

We will be performing experiments
in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology.
All sessions are filled with hands-on
science with projects for kids to
have maximum fun.

We will be delving into concepts

from mechanics to optics to
magnetism to Electricity and even
Biology and microscopy, along with
Introduction to chemistry and
chemical reactions through
questions and experiments.
