The texts consider the role of museums in our modern world.

Both texts identify a shift in

museums policy, which has had an impact on how they are seen by the general public.

The first one views museums positively and it is described by the writer that a real attempt has
been made in order to attract a more diverse audience. For this to be supported, museums
curators have had to design different ways of displaying the objects in their possession and
also have learned to rely on new technology to provide a new energy to the objects, and
therefore improving them. I am of the opinion that using innovative technology is a way of
engaging people’s interest in museum exhibits, without overlooking those who are less
literate.

In contrast, the second text raises the issue that many museums create innovative displays yet
the substance is lost on the way. The writer analyzes that the present-day policy is distasteful
as museums have lost sight of the importance of educating rather than entertaining. Research
suggest we don’t DO NOT all learn the same way. So THEREFORE, what may seem as a
substance lost for some people might actually be beneficial to others.

Who knows what the future awaits for us; however, why shouldn’t it be more inclusive and
adapted to all of the multiple intelligences? Only this way we can all learn and also enjoy
museum culture.
