INDIA – THE COUNTRY OF EXTREME

Memorial hospital Tatu is the biggest specialised clinic for cancer healing in India. It was built by Tata,
founder of one of the biggest companies in India. Hospital is located in Parel, center of Mumbai.
In front of hospital there is huge crowd of people everyday. They are either waiting on medical
report, therapy or some family member. There is no toilet in near, and this overcrowed hospital wall
is unbelievable hot, wet and dusty place

On one of carpets in front of hospital there is one girl with her parents. Her mother got cancer and
she went to surgery few days ago. Operation was free but they don't have mony to travel to hospital
and back home each day so they are living in front of hospital so she can go on chemotherapy. If she
doesnt recover soon, they will have to go back home and pray for her health.

At the same time on the other side of town, in luxurious quarter Connaught place, there is 27 floor
skyscraper called Antilia, and it is estiamted to be the most expensive family home in the worls.
Owner is Mukesh Ambani and there he lives with his wife Nita and three kids. He is boss of one of the
biggest companies in India and he is reported to be the richiest men in India, 2nd in Asia and 22nd in
the world. Each floor is different, one has zoo, one has cinemas, one has playgrounds, one has
welness, one has gym, and it goes like that all the way to the top where is placed luxurious
restaurant. Ambani family is served by around 600 servants.

These servants earns about 200 to 400 dollars, and all they can afford with that is life in slams, small
vilages with over 1000 people in improvised shelters.

Families of the most powerfull and the richest Indians are really living out of standards. They don't
even take glass of water by themselves, but on each corner they have bell that they use for calling
their servants. If servants are luckly enough they live in hallways in outermost parts of house, but
usually they liveon street covered with plastic cover in proximity of house, and even that they have
to pay.

According to the newest researches 400 million of Indian people are living with less than 1,25$ per
day, and India has the biggest number of dead newborn clidren. In Mumbai you can only be
transported by taxi cause most of buses are in really horrible condition. Taxi drivers earns around
1500 to 2000 rupee. In India parents are finding partner for their children, and althought cast and
racial system is legally revoked after India because indepentednt, that system is still present. With
old castes there is also new one called Zamindare which gathers political elite that rule the country.

Recently government brought new law that allows to 850 million of poor people to buy 5 kilograms
of rice, wheat and millet with reduced price each month.

Each year in India there is around milion new engieneeers, 100k of teachers, professors, doctors, and
indian IT experts are wanted in whole world. Things in India aren't all bad, and things are slowly
getting better.

In last 7 years there is 15% less of poor people and technology is way more present in everyday life.
Because of that India is among with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa the country that
amaze world with sudden economical expansion and development in last few years.
