Software Requirements

Memory: 8GB RAM

Virtual Reality head-mounted display

Bluetooth controller

Bluetooth or wired headphones

Installation Procedure

1. Open the provided installer or the ‘survivr.apk’ file, and a dialogue box will

appear. Tap ‘Install’ to continue the installation process.

2. The installation of the application will now proceed. If not, adjust any security-

related permission in the setting of the smartphone.

3. The user will be prompted when the installation is complete. The application is

now ready.

Getting Started

1. Prepare the listed hardware requirements above.

2. Connect a Bluetooth gamepad to the smartphone.

3. Connect a Bluetooth or wired pair of headphones to the smartphone.

4. Open the application by selecting the SurviVR icon from the applications menu.

5. Mount the smartphone to the virtual reality glasses head-mounted display.

6. Wear the virtual reality glasses and headphones. Adjust the glasses to focus the

vision.

7. Finally, hold the gamepad. The user may need assistance for this step.

Gameplay Instructions

1. To move the user’s field of view, the user moves its head to the desired direction.
2. To interact with interactable object in the game the play needs to press the × then

press ○ to use the equiped item.

3. To start a new game, the user needs to move at the colored door to select the

desired scenario.

4. Follow the in-game instructions and find the object listed in the objective board to

finish the scenario.

5. When the user completed the objectives for a certaon level it will be spawned in a

room showing the word ‘Well Done!!’ with reminders on how a person can

prepare and survive in a typhoon, in this scene player have an option to replay the

scenario, go to the next level, or go back to the main menu .
