How to Install: A Quickshifter

By Cameron Coad (AKA: Pygmygod)

Difficulty: 1/10
1.Remove the screws with an allen key:

2.Unscrew the bottom section of the gear knob and un-screw the little
screw with an allen key. (This will allow you to take the gear know
completely off:

3.Remove the silver piece and the leather piece:

4.Proceed to take off the console section, there is 2 screws hidden inside
the console:

5.There is another screw under a little flap in the holder under the
handbrake. Remove the console section, this gives you access to the 2
screws which are holding the gear stick plastic piece in:

6.Here's a picture of the quickshifter on the left and the stocker on the
right:
7. Now you need to un-hook the little pin, (a pair of pliers comes in handy)
un-bolt that closest to camera nut and the left of the gear stick nut, (being
careful not to drop anything underneath the carpet) pull the stock gear
stick off. Grease up the new quickshifter in the same spots as the stocker is
greased, fit it all back in place, bolt in the bolts. The only hard thing is
trying to get that spring to fit around the metal bit. I used a flathead to
wedge it in there:

8.Put the centre piece and console back together, (trying not to have any
screws left over like “Tim-the-Tool-Man”) put the silver piece and the
leather baggy back on and allen key it up. Put your gear knob back on:

Now it's all finished, feels much better hey?
