١ ‫ت ٱۡلۡرض زِلزالها‬
ِ ‫إِذا زل ِزل‬
When the earth is shaken ˹in˺ its ultimate quaking,
َ َ ََۡ ُ َۡ َ َ ۡ ََ
٢ ‫ت ٱۡلۡرض أثقالها‬
ِ ‫وأخرج‬
and when the earth throws out ˹all˺ its contents,
َ ۡ
َٰ َ ‫َو َق َال ٱ ِۡل‬
٣ ‫نس ُن َما ل َها‬
and man cries, “What is wrong with it?”—
َ َ َ ۡ َ ُ َُ ََۡ
٤ ‫يومئ ِ ٖذ ُتدِث أخبارها‬

َ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ َّ َ َّ َ
on that Day the earth will recount everything,
َ
٥ ‫بِأن ربك أوَح لها‬
having been inspired by your Lord ˹to do so˺.
ۡ ُ َ َٰ َ ۡ َ ْ ۡ َ ُ ٗ َ ۡ َ ُ َّ ُ ُ ۡ َ َ ۡ َ
٦ ‫يومئ ِ ٖذ يصدر ٱنلاس أشتاتا ل ِۡيوا أعملهم‬
On that Day people will proceed in separate groups to be shown ˹the consequences of˺ their
deeds.
ٗ ۡ ‫َف َمن َي ۡع َم ۡل م ِۡث َق َال َذ َّر ٍة َخ‬
٧ ‫ۡيا يَ َرهُۥ‬
So, whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.
ٗ َ َ َ َۡ ۡ
٨ ‫َو َمن َي ۡع َمل مِثقال ذ َّرة ٖ شا يَ َرهُۥ‬
And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.

ٗ َ َ ُ ََۡ
ُّ ‫نف ُخ ِف ٱ‬
١٨ ‫لصورِ فتأتون أفواجا‬ ِ ‫يوم ي‬ .ii

˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds.
َٰٓ ۡ َ َ ٞ ۡ َ ُ َ ۡ َ ۡ ‫ون ٱ‬
َ ُ ُۡ َۡ
١٧ ‫ َوٱٓأۡلخِرة خۡي وأبَق‬١٦ ‫ۡل َي َٰوةَ ٱ ُّدلن َيا‬ ‫بل تؤث ِر‬ .iii

But you ˹deniers only˺ prefer the life of this world, even though the Hereafter is far
better and more lasting.
