Ans. A preamble is an introduction to the Indian constitution. It contains the vision and
objectives of the constitution.

ANS. 1. The word sovereign means supreme or independent . We can say that India is a
sovereign country as it is free from any external control .

Q3. What is meant by secularism ?

Ans. The word secular means that all religions are treated with equal respect . No one can be
discriminated against on the basis of religion.

state.

3. Economic equality means that the govt. will strive to ensure fair distribution of wealth
among all the people.

Ans.1. India is a democractic country . People choose their representative through elections ,
which are held once in every five years .

2. People vote on the basis of Universal Adult Franchise , where all adult citizens have the right
to vote.

Ans. Fundamental rights ensure that people can live with dignity and freedom . If any of these
rights are violated a citizen can approach the courts for redressal.

Ans. The right to constitutional remedies means that any citizen can go to the court if their
rights are violated . Fundamental rights can only be suspended during National emergencies.

as we enjoy rights ,we have to fulfill our responsibilities.
