Abstract:

This study sought to analyze the difference in the academic achievement of the Grade 11 students
in the TVL track, from the 3 barangays of Concepcion, Tarlac where BSANHS is situated.

The type of research employed in this study is the analytical survey as it seeks to determine the
academic achievements of the of the Grade 11 students in the TVL track, from the 3 barangays of
Concepcion, Tarlac and make an analytical comparison of the groups of learners under a common
situation or phenomenon they are experiencing. This study conducted the data gathering
procedures to the officially enrolled Grade 11 students in the TVL track during the school year
2020 – 2021.

Findings show that that the TVL students registered a decreasing shift from the second quarter to
the third quarter as it conveys a change in the subject offered from the first semester to the second
semester of the students. They were in the “mastery” level as to their academic performance.
Lastly, the difference in the academic achievements of the TVL students of the 3 groups of
barangays is significant. It means to say that there is a barangay that performs better and poorly
than the others.

It was recommended that the TVL teacher should provide remediation activities for TVL students
who are still under the “fairly satisfactory” level of academic achievement in TVL and that
Quarter 3 SLMs and LASs could be modified and simplified (contextualized and localized).
