The Site context is known for the famous Maheswari Parmeshwari The-
SU
ater , which now is converted into a huge mall. The area is famu- N
ous for apparel and footware shoping.The Junction is named after PA
TH
Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, an Indian politician, activist, and writer.
The veer savarkar chowk is the main cross junction at the site. Two of
the leading roads are one-way i.e. road towards sultan bazar and the
road towards ram-koti chaurasta. After the construction of the met-
ro line, the division of roads has become uneven. The node edges
have deteriorated and the condition of the statue is also worsened.

Site Plan
After detailed analysis, we find that the pedestrian movement across this cross-
road is quite dangerous as the two of the leading roads are one way which causes
improper traffic movement and hence pedestrian walkway gets disturbed. There are
open spaces which are left unused and littered, and also parking near the police chow-
ki is unorganised. Pathways are not defined and existing pathways are deteriorated.
