● L&T Shipbuilding offers total solutions, from concept design to
construction of new builds,as well as repair, refit and mid life
upgrades.

● L&T Shipbuilding operates two modern shipyards - one on the

east coast at Kattupalli near Chennai and the other one on the L&T’s Hazira
west coast of India at Hazira, near Surat in Gujarat. shipyard

● L&T’s Kattupalli shipyard is located near Ennore

port, 40 km from Chennai.
● The facility is designed for modular construction
and repair of a wide range of defence ships and
submarines.
● The shipyard complex also includes a container
port and an offshore modular fabrication yard

A unique feature of L&T’s kattupalli shipyard is the Multiple berths dedicated for repair and conversion.

● L&T’s Hazira shipyard is located within the L&T

Manufacturing complex, a global scale
manufacturing facility.
● The yard has the capability to build sophisticated
ships upto 20000 T deadweight.
● The shipyard is equipped with plate stockyard,
automatic blasting and priming line, plasma cutting
machines and automatic panel making line.
● A sloping berth enables controlled sideway
launching of vessels.
