Instructions:
• Produce the figure in QCAD. The drawing should be complete with dimensions and annotations. Follow
dimensioning best practices as much as possible. For ease of understanding, the figure is also provided without
dimensions. However, the submission should only contain the version with dimensions.
• Export the drawing as PDF in QCAD. Upload both the .dxf and .pdf files in AnimoSpace.
• All dimensions are in inches.
• Start the drawing at the origin. Estimate the position of the entities using the dimensions provided. Enter their
coordinates in the command line and use the @x,y command to draw them.
• You can also draw “reference” lines which you can use to mark intersections, locations, etc. You can delete these
reference lines afterwards.
• Use the leader line function inside the dimensions toolbar to mark chamfers.
• Follow the Engineering Drawing Layout provided below and use the correct file name convention based on the
syllabus. Use A4 paper (landscape). Scale your drawing appropriately to fit it in the page.
