BUILDING DRAWING USING CADD

WEEK 5 EXPERIENT 1

Problem Statement:‐ Given the single line diagram of the residential building, prepare the working drawing in
A4 size paper to a suitable scale

AIM:‐ To prepare the working drawing of the residential building

Resource used:‐
Computer installed with AutoCAD

Proceduere:‐ Following procedure was followed.

1. Study the single line diagram in detail and decide the scale to which the drawing can be drawn in A4
size sheet. The scale used is 1:150
2. Use MVSETUP command to specify the units,paper size, paper orientation and scale.
3. First draw the right side of the building, for that draw the line of length 3000 mm and use offset, trim
and fillet command and complete , draw the left side of the building using commands like line, offset,
trim and fillet.
4. Similarly draw the elevation and section using appropriate commands
5. Using text command draw the text in plan, elevation and section
6. Using hatch command, hatch plan and section to represent the appropriate material.
7. Use plot command and make appropriate changes in the plot menu and take the print out in A4 size
paper
