Prelim weeks a. What volunteerism activities were you able to share for this
DATES midterm period?
(Indicate the inclusive Our group was able to procure materials in preparation for the
dates for the whole tree-planting activity. We filled 69 bags with soil where seeds will
prelim) be placed. We also successfully performed the university hymn,
wherein our SLU identity was re-established and boosted. In
practicing singing the university hymn, our group showed
teamwork, collaboration, and leadership.

b. What challenges did you encounter that you were able to

work out?
At first, I was anxious because the two mentioned activities were
my weaknesses. During the peak of the pandemic, I tried
planting seeds and took care of some succulents. Both of them
did not grow well, and I genuinely don’t know what the reason
is. In the second activity, singing the university hymn, our
facilitator is kind of critical of the tune and notes. However,
these challenges were surpassed due to Sir Samuel Silug’s
guidance.

c. What activities in your community that you were able to join

in which it uplifts your Louisian values?
We don't actually separate our rubbish, despite the fact that we
can now reduce, reuse, and recycle it. This is something I've
noticed because our project is labeled "Waste Management
Disposal." With this simple home project, we can protect the
environment. I've run across a few issues, such as when we mix
up our waste, so I put a label on it to prevent it from happening
again. My family is very committed to protecting the
environment; in the past, we have taken part in a variety of
programs like tree planting and run for a cause, which include
participants raising money for a cause. This kind of
environmental awareness uplift my Christian living faith and
being able to be socially involved for the better of the future.

mass/ worship/ service
Reflection with inspiring quote: “But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added
unto you.” What the Gospel described, that I've seen firsthand.
Some people make the claim to be on your side, but when
things get rough, they disappear. There are those people who
will always support you. Similar to how, no matter how difficult
the path we have chosen, Jesus will always be there for us.

Proof of attendance:

Reflection for module No matter how tough the challenges are, as long as you have
1: someone who will accompany you, your friends, professors,
block-mates, family, and especially God, we will make it through
it because of them and for them. Teamwork is always important.
As cliche as it may sound, it is true that “No man is an island.”
