If money can buy happiness, the wealthy must be the
happiest people in the planet. This, unfortunately, is not the
case. In fact, we've heard some terrifying anecdotes about
well-to-do families. Some of them are embroiled in court
battles over a chunk of their property. The more properties
they own, the more concerning their situation becomes, so
they hire additional security guards. They lose the ability to
move freely in the streets. To put it another way, material
items can only accomplish so much. At the end of the day,
they are still empty and dissatisfied.
Reflection for module Module 1 is all about the basic info’s of the NSTP specifically
1: the Guidelines and principle which is also termed as MOPG.
The goal of this program is to acknowledge the importance
of youth in nation-building, to raise awareness among
young, and to nurture their physical, moral, spiritual,
intellectual, and social well-being. It will instill patriotism and
nationalism in the youth and encourage their participation
in public and civic issues. The NSTP is a program that aims
to increase civic consciousness and defense preparedness
in adolescents by establishing service and patriotism ideals
while undertaking training in any of its program
components.
Reflection for module Module 2 is all about the service-learning program. Service-
2: learning program is concerned with what Vito Perrone
refers to as "powerful purposes," and it tackles the issue of
academic relevance by linking academic information, skills,
and concepts to achieving an "authentic purpose" in the
school and community. In this perspective, service-learning
is an essential component of school reform and helps in the
following ways. We learn to reflect on our experiences and
build critical-thinking skills through service-learning program,
such as the capacity to connect disparate pieces of
experience in meaningful ways, evaluate material for
patterns and deeper significance, and make assessments
and judgements. Service-learning program exposes
students to concerns and situations that are difficult to
explain or address. Encouragement of students to "think
beyond the box" promotes the development of problem-
solving abilities.
