a. What volunteerism activities were you able to share
this first three weeks?
With our hectic schedules, it can be difficult to find time to
volunteer. Volunteering benefits those in need, worthy
causes, and the community. The perfect match can assist
you in making new friends, connecting with your
community, learning new skills, and even advancing your
job.

On the first week (June 14 2022) I started to plan my service-

learning program which is Home-Based Cleaning and
Gardening. While on the second week and third week
(June 25 2022 to July 5 2022) I already perform the
program. Gardening and cleaning are one of the most
basic Act of volunteerism which is also beneficial to the
environment and the community. In addition, every Sunday
(June 19, June 26 and July 3, July 10 2022) I participate in
online mass in our youth church New Hope located at New
Lucban Baguio City.

b. What challenges did you encounter that you were

able to work out?
The main challenges that I encounter during those 3 weeks
is the lack of resources. Since I am a student my resources
are limited. I do not also have much of funds to provide for
the materials needed for my SLP. What I did is to check my
available resources and to maximize it effectively.

c. What activities in your community that you were able to

join in which it uplifts your Louisian values?

According to the Church, you have a responsibility to keep

the Third Commandment by refraining from needless
employment on Sunday and attending Mass, your primary
form of devotion as Christians which is also one of Lousian
Value. Volunteering during Mass is a beautiful way to share
your faith and gifts.

If money can buy happiness, the wealthy must be the
happiest people in the planet. This, unfortunately, is not the
case. In fact, we've heard some terrifying anecdotes about
well-to-do families. Some of them are embroiled in court
battles over a chunk of their property. The more properties
they own, the more concerning their situation becomes, so
they hire additional security guards. They lose the ability to
move freely in the streets. To put it another way, material
items can only accomplish so much. At the end of the day,
they are still empty and dissatisfied.

In the gospel according to Father, Jesus tells us to place our

complete confidence in our loving God. He is our great
provider, not only for our bodily needs, but also for our
emotional and spiritual ones. We will find it easier to
experience peace of mind and joy in our hearts if we place
our whole trust in Him.

Reflection for module Module 1 is all about the basic info’s of the NSTP specifically
1: the Guidelines and principle which is also termed as MOPG.
The goal of this program is to acknowledge the importance
of youth in nation-building, to raise awareness among
young, and to nurture their physical, moral, spiritual,
intellectual, and social well-being. It will instill patriotism and
nationalism in the youth and encourage their participation
in public and civic issues. The NSTP is a program that aims
to increase civic consciousness and defense preparedness
in adolescents by establishing service and patriotism ideals
while undertaking training in any of its program
components.

Reflection for module Module 2 is all about the service-learning program. Service-
2: learning program is concerned with what Vito Perrone
refers to as "powerful purposes," and it tackles the issue of
academic relevance by linking academic information, skills,
and concepts to achieving an "authentic purpose" in the
school and community. In this perspective, service-learning
is an essential component of school reform and helps in the
following ways. We learn to reflect on our experiences and
build critical-thinking skills through service-learning program,
such as the capacity to connect disparate pieces of
experience in meaningful ways, evaluate material for
patterns and deeper significance, and make assessments
and judgements. Service-learning program exposes
students to concerns and situations that are difficult to
explain or address. Encouragement of students to "think
beyond the box" promotes the development of problem-
solving abilities.
