I. INTRODUCTION

a. About

● An umbrella committee of the SAMAHAN Academic Affairs Department which is


responsible for building a space for students to excel in the field of academics

● Ensures to hone the growth and learning of students

● Formulates a collective action and champions the voices of fellow Wolves

● Provides virtual platforms to heed the call of academic dilemmas

VISION
To produce competitive and excellent students that stands-out inside and outside the cluster.

MISSION
Provide wolves a space that champions academic excellence, and exhibit academic capabilities
and skills of students.

II. STRATEGIC PLANNING AND CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES

a. The Wolfline Hub


The Wolfline Hub, an online student grievance form, is spearheaded by the Humanities and Letters
Student Executive Council (HUMLET SEC) that serves as a platform to accommodate students with
their academic related concerns.

True to its mandate in promoting and upholding students' rights and welfare in the university, the
committee aims to further establish a more holistic, extensive, and proper representation in
rendering its day-to-day operations.

The Grievances Form is open 24/7 and a response within one (1) to two (2) days shall be expected.
In this time of pandemic, the community needs a student representation that listens and acts.

b. Tutorials for Photo and Video Editing


“From knowing nothing to becoming an expert at something.”

Key topics:
● A beginner’s ultimate guide in Photography and Videography: Basic camera uses and
theories
● Identifying other functions and mastering powerful creative media skills.

What to Expect:
● Learn from the best professionals or top experts in the creative sector. Each expert
teaches clear guidelines, true passion, and professional insights.

Framework of Mechanism
● The event shall be publicized via Wolves Academic Affairs Space’s social media
accounts (Official Twitter account and Facebook page)

Target Date:
● October 2022

● Request for Tutorials

In adherence to our mission, the WAAS will hear the appeals of students or university
professors if they desire to request for a tutorial or any other academic sessions.

i. Comprehensive Assessment Surveys - The WAAS shall inaugurate a response system


through the use of Google Forms that will serve as a survey assessment. This is expected to be
accomplished by the course representatives.

ii. Seeking for Tutors - The AA Head and AA Deputy Head will be plucking the best and
brightest mentors– the ones with expertise and thus equipped with training.

III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICERS

Following the DAA Codes and By-laws, the HUMLET SEC identifies and appoints the following
positions:

Academic Affairs Head


a. Act as the head executive officer of the academic affairs committee of
their respective cluster
b. Represent the academic needs of their cluster to the core officers of
the department
c. Appoint officers of their respective academic affairs cluster
committee thereof
d. Act as the official spokesperson of their cluster academic affairs
committee
e. Be responsible for maintaining liaison between respective divisions
of the department
f. Execute such other functions as the department Director may so
Direct.

2. Academic Affairs Deputy Head
Performs the duties and functions of the AA Head in his/her incapacity, resignation,
impeachment or death. Also assigned to assist the AA Head in managing the academic affairs
department and initiated activities.

3. Secretary-General
Keeps formal records of the minutes of the assemblies and performs other duties
inherent to the position or as assigned by the academic affairs head.

4. AB Communication Course Representative


Its primary responsibility is to facilitate the academic matters of its program. This
includes disseminating announcements and initiatives, and helping the committee actualize its
plans and goals.

5. AB Interdisciplinary Studies Course Representative


Its primary responsibility is to facilitate the academic matters of its program. This
includes disseminating announcements and initiatives, and helping the committee actualize its
plans and goals.

6. AB English Course Representative


Its primary responsibility is to facilitate the academic matters of its program. This
includes disseminating announcements and initiatives, and helping the committee actualize its
plans and goals.

7. AB Philosophy Course Representative


Its primary responsibility is to facilitate the academic matters of its program. This
includes disseminating announcements and initiatives, and helping the committee actualize its
plans and goals.
