Semi- detailed lesson plan in English

I. Objectives

At the end of 60 minutes period, the students should be able to:

a. identify the phonemic symbols of the given word;


b. write words using phonemic symbols : /ā/,/Ʊ/,/ǝ/; and
c. appreciate the importance of proper pronunciation.

III. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
A student will be requested to lead the prayer.
2. Greetings
3. Energizer
The teacher will play a dance video clip entitled “baby shark”.
4. Checking of Attendance
The class secretary will give the list of absentees to the teacher.
5. Setting of Classroom Standards
The teacher will show a pictures and the students will relate it to the classroom standards.
6. Passing of Assignment
The students will pass their assignments in the count of 10.
B. Review
1. What is pronoun? And why is it important?
2. How do we replace pronoun into a noun?
C. Motivation
The teacher will show 10 words using flashcards and the students must read its proper
pronunciation.

D. Activity
Using the given word above, the teacher will give each row an envelope that contains phonemic
symbols. Each row will select a representative to put those symbols to its corresponding word. Row 1
will be the first, and then followed by row 2 and 3.
