I. OBJECTIVES:
A. CONTENT STANDARD: The learner listens critically to various text types & expresses ideas accurately in
both oral & written forms.
B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learner is able to demonstrate confidence in the use of language to meet
every day needs & reads independently & gets relevant information from various text types.
C. LEARNING COMPETENCY: Identify the structure, purpose and language features of different text types, e.g.
narrative, information report, procedure, argument
D. Objectives:
At the end of the 50 minutes lesson, the learners should be able to:

1. Identify the meaning of unfamiliar words through prefixes and suffixes


2. Give the meaning of the underlined words using structural analysis
3. Show interest in learning the lesson
