The Disastrous Global warming

Global warming has brought a myriad of damage on earth. In various countries, we can see
the impact whether it is in the form of storms, hurricanes and even shifts in the growing
season. Not only that global warming also poses a threat to human existence. The 21st
century natural problem can damage livelihoods and sources of human life. Some of the
consequences caused by global warming are the water crisis and the extinction of a number
of fish and coral reef species. Natural damage and serious disturbance to most of these marine
ecosystems came gradually along with global warming.

Global warming is caused by several human activities, especially forest burning. Humans
have been burning for quite a long time. Peatland burning can be taken as an example. The
burning is carried out for the expansion of settlements and industrial forests. Although these
activities bring benefits to a few parties but the damages impact many. In addition to burning
forests, vehicles and other machines that use fossil fuels also cause global warming. Fossil
fuels consist of coal, oil and natural gas. The combustion gases consist of carbon dioxide,
carbon monoxide and others. The combustion using fossil fuels damage air quality. These
gases are called greenhouse gases. They cause the greenhouse effect.

The greenhouse effect traps the sun's heat in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases become
insulators that retain more heat from the sun. Even worse, these greenhouse gases form a
layer so that sunlight reflects off. This causes plants and the sea to not be able to absorb it.

The average increase in Earth's temperature due to the greenhouse effect is 1° to 5°C (33.8°
to 41°F). The increase in global warming will reach 1.5° to 4.5°C (34.7° to 40.1°F) in 2030 if
the trend of increasing greenhouse gases is still the same. More and more heat waves are
reflected from the earth and absorbed by the atmosphere due to the increase in the carbon
dioxide's concentration in the atmosphere. As a result, the Earth's surface temperature also
increases.

The series of consequences of global warming will be very concerning. Many areas of the
world will get the impact. The increase in geothermal heat that doubles the evaporation of
seawater moistens warm areas. This results in an increase in rainfall. On average, each degree
Fahrenheit of warming increases 1 percent precipitation. In addition, storms will occur more
frequently. Not only the increase of rainfall and storms, global warming spreads drought as
well. The effects of global warming are also exacerbated. There may be an increase in
hurricane strength if such a disaster occurs.
