A. You are provided with bean seed, that had been soaked in water
i) Use a scalpel to dissect the bean seed into the two cotyledons
Ensure that one cotyledon contains the embryo
ii) Observe the cotyledon using the hand lens provided
iii) Measure the length of the pumule and radicle and record in the space below

B. i) Cut the half of the bean seed that does not contain the embryo, and grind into powder.
ii) Divide the powder into four equal portions.
iii) Transfer each portion into one test tube and label the test tube A, B,C and D.
iv) Conduct food test for starch, glucose, proteins and lipids in test tube A,B,C and D respectively
v) Record your findings in the table below
