Project Requirement:

1) System diagram

2) #999 console (PC) is equipped with a USB 5G modem. Patient side with a normal mobile
phone without any APP or additional hardware required.
3) Patient side establishes a normal phone call to the #999 web-based console (or #999 web-
based console call back is possible) with PC microphone & speaker enable.
4) #999 web-based console can distinguish whether the call is made from a mobile or fixed line
network. A fixed-line phone call cannot enjoy the service at this moment. “Vitome” button
to indicate service can be enabled.
5) Once a phone call is established, #999 operator would guard the patient to position the
mobile to capture the heartbeat/lung sound via the phone’s MEMS microphone and
transmit via a normal phone call.
6) Web-based console should indicate the audio signal strength received is good enough for
heartbeat/lung sound segmentation/classification. (indicator 1)
7) Realtime waveform (10sec) and heartbeat data can be shown on the console and the raw
data is stored for future reference.
