THE TRANSFORMED OBJECT

Skills: observe, develop a hypothesis, realize the project, verify and transfer.
Area: material technology
Starting point: conceiving and creating an object with a particular performance.

OBSERVATION
We live in a consumption society where objects are less and less repaired. When it does
not work, we throw them away! Thinking about the environment, you decide to give a
second life to an object that you no longer use (a functioning object or not) by giving it a
different use than its initial one.

Glue below 4 pictures of transformed objects that you found at home, at your friends’
house, at your neighbor’s house, on the Internet…
DEVELOPMENT OF A HYPOTHESIS
Choose among the objects the one you would like to transform and define its new use.
Then draw, annotate and explain your project.
REALIZATION
Get to work! Be careful.

VERIFICATION

Test the new use of your object. If needed, add some modifications and test it again.

Test 1 :

The object is working : YES NO

Modifications : ……………………………………………………………………………………….

Test 2 :
