Q: Does personality grow overtime?

The brain is the most amazing thing in a human’s body, it contains billion of nerve cells that are in
patterns that coordinate emotion, thoughts, behavior, movement and sensation. Although does are the things
we experience every day, personality is different, there was a debate on whenever if individuals persona
changes overtime or they are simply born with them. From my personal experience, I have seen that people’s
identity change on their own experiences in life.
Whenever babies brain develop over the months by little the baby shows signs of emotion,
remembering small details and etc. All of that shows the babies personality, but nobody will keep thinking
and act like a baby. The brain simply progresses and matures over the life span and also depending personal
background encounter in life.
Humans have stages in life which are childhood, teenage years, adulthood and elderly, over years
personality traits would change depending what people are surrounding them, what kind of traumas incident
happened and etc. During the teenage years it’s where the personality traits would change drastically, due to
puberty, stress, curiosity, mood swings. Adulthood is where the individual has more responsibilities and it
will show their personality depending on how their parents raised him to be, also depending what kind of
childhood he had, for instance if the person’s parents didn’t allow him to play video games the adult will
fulfill his childhood demand and relax without being pressured back when he was a child, furthermore it
depends more on what was missing in their childhood/teenage years they will put in the missing puzzle.
There was a journal called “Philological and Aging” study made by four Scottish physiologist that
picked people voluntary examine them of a period of 63 years, which the study proven that them being taking
the same test when they took at 14 years old and at 77 years, the test showed that the personality changed as
they got older. The researchers were shocked to see that none of the ratings matched up.
In short, I personally consider that people can’t be born with personality traits, more they are
imitating someone, the habits they have and the personal life they had lived.
