1. DESCRIPCION DE LA GUIA

Welcome everybody! En esta guía tendrás la oportunidad de conocer diversos aspectos de los textos
argumentativos, además, iniciaremos un nuevo libro de nuestro proyecto lector titulado “JASON AND THE
GOLDEN FLEECE”
Querido estudiante te sugiero que utilices Google translate, Deepl o cualquier otra app para entender el
contenido de la lectura, de no contar con estos recursos te recomiendo hacer uso del diccionario o solicitar
ayuda en mi número de contacto.

4. READING PLAN: Now we are going to continue with the reading of a new book “Jason and the golden
fleece”
Once upon a time, a boy named Jason was raised by Chiron, the wise centaur. Jason was the rightful heir of a
distant land, and once he came of age, he was destined to reclaim his throne from his uncle Pelias, who had
stolen it. The centaur raised Jason well, teaching Jason all the stories and lessons he knew about the world.
Once Jason was old enough, he said goodbye to Chiron, and set off on his journey to claim his throne. All On his
way, Jason came to a raging river. Standing on the shore of the river was an old woman. "Young man, you look
big and strong," said the old woman. "Could you help me across the river? I'm much too weak to cross on my
own." "Of course!" answered Jason. Jason carried the old woman on his back across the river. She was much
heavier than she looked! Along the way, Jason stumbled, and lost one of his sandals. Unbeknownst to Jason,
the old woman was really the goddess Hera. She wanted to make sure that Jason was a true and kind hero.
Jason had proven himself ready! Jason continued his way, and soon arrived before King Pelias. A long time ago,
King Pelias had been warned to beware of a man wearing one sandal. And so, the king was shocked to see
Jason with only one sandal! Scared, and not wanting to give up his throne, King Pelias publicly challenged Jason
to prove himself worthy. "To claim your throne, you must return the Golden Fleece", announced the king, knowing
that this was an impossible task. Chiron had taught Jason the story of the Golden Fleece, which was said to be
hidden in a faraway land, guarded by a dragon that never slept. Jason was determined to find it, but he needed
some help! Jason had a magnificent ship built, which he called the Argo. Jason then found fifty of the most
talented, and strongest heroes in the land. They called themselves the Argonauts. Finally, the Argo set sail. They
sailed and sailed, until they reached a distant land, where the king greeted Jason and the Argonauts. But the king
was in no mood for festivities or celebrating the arrival of his new guests.

formacióncontribuyen al buen desarrollo de los encuentros virtuales y
presenciales.
Comprende de manera de manera satisfactoria la funcionalidad del texto
argumentativo. Presenta la actividad del English Club y del proyecto lector de
NIVEL ALTO maneraoportuna. Teniendo la posibilidad de conexión asiste a las clases y
participa en ellas, Además, sus actitudes, expresiones y buena formación
contribuyen al buen desarrollo de los encuentros virtuales y presenciales.
Comprende de manera básIca la funcionalidad del texto argumentativo.
Desarrolla las actividades del English Club y del proyecto lector, además, sus
