A neutrino is a subatomic particle that belongs to the family of elementary particles known as

leptons. It is oqsdqsdqne of theqsdqsd fundamental building blocks of the universe. Neutrinos

are electrically neutral, meaning they have no electric charge, and they interact only weakly
with other particles, which makes them challenging to detect.

There are three types, or "flavors," of neutrinos:

1. Electron Neutrino (νe): Associated with electrons, these neutrinos are produced in
various processes, such as during nuclear reactions in the sun and other stars.
2. Muon Neutrino (νμ): Associated with muons, which are heavier cousins of electrons,
muon neutrinos are typically created in cosmic ray interactions and particle accelerator
experiments.
3. Tau Neutrino (ντ): Associated with tau particles, the most massive of the three charged
leptons, tau neutrinos are mainly produced in high-energy astrophysical processes.
