1 Background
This document defines the K-assembly requirements for constructing a K-assembly from a Cab FRC Overlay
Harness (Item 2) and a Cab FRC Harness (Item 1).

2 General Requirements:
This K-assembly must conform to the following requirements:
• The FRC overlay harness (2) shall be tie wrapped or spot taped (VT_1 20828057 sec. 3.3.2.3.1) to
the FRC harness (1) every 200mm, this is reference only.
• As applicable, the center of the yellow tape marking on the FRC overlay harness (2) shall be
aligned with the yellow tape marking on the FRC harness (1).
• For all connections between the FRC overlay harness (2) and FRC harness (1) these branches
shall be attached with spot tape to main trunk.
• All unused cut leads on assembly shall be sealed with double wall heat shrink or splice tape.
o An instruction phrased at ‘seal it’ refers to this action.
• The cover connector should be reassembled in their base connector when a wire insertion is
involved in them.
• The overlay harness route should be on top of the main cab harness unless other direction is
given in the customer recipe.

4 Specific Wiring Requirements:

4.1 K-Assembly Layout

The layout in the figures below shows how the FRC overlay harness (red) shall be attached to the cab FRC
harness (black). The dimensions are reference only.

If the cab FRC overlay harness (red) does not contain the associated variant, then the operation does not apply
and shall not be implemented.

The chassis harness reference drawing is 23725393 issue 01.

4.2 FRC adaptation

4.2.1 A01 G adaptation

From FRC harness (1) remove wire F34D1-0.8 from A01_G.A cavity D1 and seal it.
From the FRC overlay harness (2), insert CTT_A01_G_D1 (F55A1-0.8) into FRC harness (1) A01_G.A cavity
D1.
From FRC harness (1) remove wire F86A1-1.0 from A01_G.A cavity B1 and seal it.
From the FRC overlay harness (2), insert CTT_A01_G_B1 (F74A1-0.8) into FRC harness (1) A01_G.A cavity
B1.
From the FRC overlay harness (2), insert CTT_A01_G_B3 (X302M2-2.0) into FRC harness (1) A01_G.A cavity
B3.
From FRC harness (1) remove wire F20B1-1.0 from A01_G_A1 cavity A1.
Cut the terminal off from F20B1-1.0 as close to the end of the terminal as possible.
Strip the wire and hand crimp terminal 8397331 (item 4) to wire F20B1-1.0.
From FRC harness (1) remove wire F20A1-1.0 from A01_G_A1 cavity B2 and seal it.

4.2.2 A01 H adaptation

From FRC harness (1) remove wire X302PA1-3.0 from A01_H.A cavity A1 and seal it.
From the FRC overlay harness (2), insert CTT_A01_H_A1 (X302PA1-1.0) into FRC harness (1) A01_H.A
cavity A1.
From FRC harness (1) remove wire F63B2-2.0 from A01_H.A cavity B1 and seal it.
From the FRC overlay harness (2), insert CTT_A01_H_B1 (HPCHIP1-1.0) into FRC harness (1) A01_H.A
cavity B1.

4.3 MCCFRC4 adaptation

From FRC harness (1) remove wire F20A1-1.0 from MCCFRC4 cavity B and seal it.
From the FRC harness (1), insert F20B1-1.0 into MCCFRC4 cavity B.
