Topic: Addressing Learner’s Learning Needs and Difficulties

Insights or Realizations

After the LAC session, the teachers showed an increased understanding

and knowledge of the learner’s learning needs and the difficulties that the
students are facing especially in academic subjects. The changes in
teachers' pedagogy or practices are aimed at improving learners'
participation and achievement in school to address also the needs of every
learner.
Additional support may be required for some students such as support
centres, resource teachers and assistive and technological devices. Early
identification and intervention of any difficulties and/or disabilities will
also be key in providing proper support and reducing future learning
issues, as well as collaborating with parents and the community.

Lessons Learned

Getting to know who your students are as individuals can help you to
provide an inclusive, respectful and accepting classroom environment.
This will not only help to keep your students highly engaged in learning,
but will also provide a safe space for them when navigating tough times
that will encourage them to open up and seek support when needed.

Understanding the students’ interests will also help the teachers to

provide them with quality learning opportunities. By giving them the
opportunity to explore areas they are interested in
