PROMAPACK®
Insulating and sealing boards
PROMAPACK®-700 is a rigid insulating board on the
basis of mineral and aluminium silicate wool, mineral
fillers and organic binder.
PROMAPACK®-900 is a rigid insulating board on the
basis of mineral wool, wollastonite, mineral fillers and
organic binder.
The boards are bound with both organic and inorganic
binders. Due to this combination, the boards have
high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity
and good electrical insulating properties. This material
is asbestos-free and with its allround properties it
replaces previously used asbestos boards. The areas of
application are numerous and not limited to the main
application field of high temperature seals.

PROMAPACK®
Properties & advantages Working & processing
• thin, lightweight and rigid PROMAPACK® can be punched, cut, milled and drilled
• smooth surface easily with conventional woodworking machinery with
• can be shaped in wet condition hard-metal-tipped tools. PROMAPACK® boards have
• excellent machinability the additional advantage that they can be shaped in wet
• high temperature resistance condition – without cracking.
• insensitive to thermal shocks
When working and processing high temperature wool
• high electrical insulation
products, the Technical Regulations for Hazardous
• low thermal conductivity
Materials (TRGS 558) must be observed.
• hardly wetted by molten metal
• good acid resistance Dust is produced during procession. Dust can be harmful
to the health. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not
breathe in the dust. Dust should be removed by suction.
Application areas The dust limits are to be adhered to. See product safety
data sheet.
As insulating and sealing material, especially as a
substitute for previously used asbestos boards. Bonding
