Programming Instructions

While in programming you can use the following Keys.

Always note that there is a underscore on your screen while doing programming. That
indicates the field you are going to change. _

ANS/RLS - Select All


Hold - Delete
Left Soft Button - Save and move back. (Or jump one menu back)
Right Option Button - Save and move right. (Or jump one menu Forward)
Volume Buttons - Move Up or Down in menus
Speaker Button - Will go into a list of all MMC’s Scroll up and down
DCS Basic Setup:

1. Remember Memory switch.

After System bootup.


2. Set Country.
a. Transfer 800
b. 4321
c. Select country (South Africa)
d. Right Option Button to Select
e. Select 1 to accept and default system

3. Enter Programming Mode.


a. Transfer 800
b. 4321
c. Press 1 again to enable programming
d. Transfer to finish

4. Set KMMC Timeout. (Time that programming mode stays active)


a. Transfer 501
b. Select KMMC Lock Out TM
c. Default 30 seconds. Range 10 – 255 sec.
d. Transfer to finish

5. Set System Date and Time.


a. Transfer 505
b. Enter format supplied
c. W = (Refer Below) MMDDYY:HHMM

0 Sunday
1 Monday
2 Tuesday
3 Wednesday
4 Thursday
5 Friday
6 Saturday
Set up Trunk ringing and DAY/Night Mode
6. Assign Station groups.
a. Transfer 601
b. Select group with volume button
c. Right option button
d. Volume until “Ring:Sequential” is displayed
e. Set ring accordingly
Sequential = First member then second, then third . . .
Distribute = Round robin- Devides calls between ext.
Unconditional = All ext ring at the same time.
f. Use volume button to go to Member
g. Right option button
h. Enter all extension numbers to be part off groupe.
i. Transfer to finish

7. Assign Trunk ring (Analogue trunks)


a. Transfer 406
b. Select the trunk with volume or (ANS/RLS, Redial)
c. Enter ring destination 1 – 6
d. 1 Day and 2 Night
e. Transfer to finish.

8. Assign DID. (Isdn trunks).


a. Transfer 714
b. Display shows “DID DIGIT (001)”
c. Press right soft key
d. Enter last four digits of tel. no. 7720.
e. Press right option button
f. Enter destination 1 -6
g. Enter all details for DID name etc.
h. Transfer to finish.

If DID range match Ext. no. only one entry is needed 7*** and the detination would
be “B”. That means it will bypass through to that ext. no

9. Assign Night Time (If Required)


a. Transfer 507
b. Press right option Button
c. Enter start of night service time (e.g. 17:00)
d. Enter end of night service time (e.g. 08:00)
e. Press up VOL button to select new day
f. Repeat for all days of the week
g. Transfer to finish

General Programming.
10. Assign Buttons
a. Transfer 722
b. Type desired station number or use VOL keys to select.
c. The enter the button no.
d. Select function of button
Most Common used buttons.
DS - Direct station (Add ext. no.)
DT - Direct trunk (Add trunk no.)
RTO - Ring plan override (Passcode 0000 and plan no.)
GPIK - Group pick up (Enter group no.)
e. Transfer to Finish

DO NOT REMOVE THE CALL BUTTONS FROM THE PHONE !!

11. Assign Individual Station Names.


a. Transfer 104
b. Type desired station number or use VOL keys to select.
c. Type in station name using the Keypad
d. Transfer to finish.

12. Assign Operator Number “9”.


a. Transfer 724
b. Scroll to Feat Dial number with volume button
c. Push right option button
d. 6- Because the character O is on 6
e. Select “OPER” using volume keys
f. Right Option Button to Select
g. Enter “9” – That is now the new number for the operator
h. Right Option Button to Select
i. When prompt for change 1 for yes, this is only asked if “9” was used
for something else.
j. Press Right Option Button to Select
k. Transfer to finish

B – Local only
C – Local + National
D – Local + National + Cell

g. Volume up to entry “002”

18. Assign Forced codes

b. Use volume to select ext. or ANS/RLS(Falcon) or Redial(DS) to select
all ext. at the same time.
c. Use volume button to select Authorize Code
d. Transfer to finish
Remember MMC 305 overrides MMC 301
Least Cost Routing:
19. To enable LCR.

20. Assign Trunks to groups. (NB: If there is no LCR add all trunks to all
groups)

CMSI.exe – Windows XP and higher.
c. After setup run BBcap. Test if there is comms. to system.
d. Run Call manager.
e. Select Country as South Africa
f. Choose clients local area code eg. 011 + first 3 digits of no. 011799
g. Choose Type of Pabx.
h. Enter Ext. range eg. From 201 to 250

i. Call manager Will now open.


j. Edit Extension info. Enter user names.
k. Edit Account code info. Enter Auth codes from system.
l. Edit exchange line info. Tell each trunk what service provider it is
connected to.
m. Click on Background Importation Status (Bottom Left)
n. Tick little check box (Auto Link) Click Hide
o. Click on reports
p. Enter Company Name (Don’t change anything else)

MMC 804 – Set appropriate port to SMDR
MMC 725 – Print Account codes change to Yes.
Print incoming calls change to yes. (If required).

On the Office Serv 7200 and 7400.


Connect system LAN port to network or cross over to stand alone PC.
MMC 830 – Change system IP address, Subnet mask and Default Gateway to
local network settings. And do the restart in mmc 830. System will restart.
MMC 829 - (01) SMDR.
Destination – PC
Printer IP – Match it to IP in MMC 830 (System IP)
Update lan – Yes.

To Test this You can go into the command prompt.


Type the following command.
telnet (System IP Address) 5100
eg. telnet 192.168.0.60 5100
If it has been set up correctly you will see the SMDR coming through.

System Access Codes
All These Feature codes are default on the system. However you can go and change
them in MMC 724 under your Feat Dial No.
