Hello, student! To finish our self-presentation week, I would love for

you to write some things about you. Please, write a text (15-20 lines) about your relationship with the
English Language. How did you begin studying it? Why? What do you use to keep in touch with the
language during vacation/weekends?
Also, I want to know about your learning preferences. How do you like to learn English? What type of
activities? What type of exercises do you want to see in class? Are you more visual, maybe auditory,
kinesthetic or reading/writing? Think about these questions to write your text.

My relationship with English began in the school, but I really started to study English seriously after
my high school, because I wanted to understand some contents that I liked on social media, movies
and series, and mainly because I want to travel abroad. Besides that, when I started my graduate, I
realized that English it's an important and basic idiom for a journalist to know. So, in my free time I
use to watch series in English, see videos or interviews of my favorite actors and celebrities in general,
follow foreign on Instagram and Tik Tok and listen music.

The way I prefer to learn English is a mix of conventional and unconventional methods, like make
grammar exercises, play quizzes of specific matters and themes, search sites with different activities in
English, listen to podcasts, watch videos on YouTube or movies without subtitles and try to write
about them, make reading exercises and write my interpretations. I like to write a lot of times words
that are new or have a different spelling, because I percept that my learning is better when I write and
visualize what I’m studying.
