Use the template below to prepare a written script (one group member must submit this template
on compass under learning tasks).
Select two of the scenarios listed below and create two scripted plays for each scenario. One
negative outcome and one positive outcome. 4 plays in total.
Assign each group member a role
Be creative.
You will be required to present one of the scenarios to the class with both the negative and positive
outcome.
As this is a common assessment task (CAT), a mark out of 10 will be awarded for your planning,
organisation, creativity and performance. See the attached rubric below for your marking criteria.
Scenarios:
Sea cliff jump:
You and your friends visit the beach and see a group of older teenagers jumping from the sea cliff into the
ocean. A lifeguard has warned the teenagers to stop, but they go ahead and jump anyway
Dad’s car:
You are playing video games with your friends unsupervised. One of your friends suggests a joy ride in your
dad’s second car.
You and your friends find a carton of vodka that has been delivered to your house. A member of the group
suggests opening one of the bottles, then breaking it to pretend it was smashed inside the carton.
Vaping at lunch:
You and your friend are walking around on the oval at lunch. You notice a group of students vaping behind
a tree. Your friend suggest that you should go and check it out.

have a glass, and then start to pressure

doesn’t think about it for long and starts
to drink from the bottle. She feels dizzy,
and starts to vomit after a few minutes
and goes to the bathroom. After
drinking it all, Abisha breaks the bottle
as planned but Armina comes back and
steps on it. She bandageds the cut and
then Armina’s mum comes home and
asks what’s going on. Aadhya and
Abisha put the blame on Armina and
she gets in trouble.
Script
Eshaal - “I’m going to go out, we’re
out of bread. I’ll be back in an hour,
don’t do anytning bad while I’m
gone.” (looks over at pile of work)
“Try to finish your work instead of
watching tv all day.”
Armina - “Okay mum! Don’t
worry.” (while looking at the screen)
(Aadhya and Abisha nod)
Eshaal - “By the way, I’ve got a
package coming here soon, you
don’t need to open it just keep it
safe.”
