Nowadays, there are fewer misconceptions about HIV/AIDS, especially among the younger population, because of the vast information about it online. It is more openly discussed among groups, even on social media. | am a nursing student, and | have been exposed to matters like this because it is one of our duty to do health teaching by educating people. My family is very religious and a little bit old-fashioned. These issues are not commonly talked about in our household. My sister and | pursued medical-related courses, so whenever there is a topic about health, such as this, they are open to listening and learning the scientific explanations of it. Whenever we chat about issues like this, they would remember it and share it with their friends and coworkers. It makes me happy knowing they're informed and sharing the correct information about HIV/AIDS with other people When it comes to my friends, most of them are knowledgeable about the LGBTQIA+ community, so they know a thing or two about HIV/AIDS. Our generation is more open to discussing STDs because most of us are sexually active. There are still people who believe misconceptions about it. The main problem with our generation is the lack of responsibility when it comes to being sexually active. They do not practice safe sex, which is the reason for the increase in the cases of HIV in| our age group. | think further reminders and vigorous advertisements of thi use of condoms and going to HIV clinics to get tested and get medicatior like PREP to avoid HIV would very much help decrease the cases of HIV i our country.
