PRE-LESSON
1. Introduce target language (Hi, I’m … What’s your name?).
2. Ask a student to stand up and elicit his/her name from the student.
3. Repeat with about six other students.
LESSON DELIVERY
4. Pupils look at the picture in their Student’s Books. (CD1 02)
5. Teacher plays the recording.
ACTIVITIES 6. Pupils point to the character names when they hear them.
7. Pupils look at the chant.
8. Pupils listen and follow the chant. (CD 1 03)
9. Teacher play the recording again, pausing after each line for pupils to repeat it.
10. Pupils practice the chant as a group.(21st CA)

6. Teach the question, ‘How old are you?’ and the response.
7. Pupils practise the question and answer in group.

1. Call to front of the class four pupils whose names start with the any letter of the alphabet.
2. Pupils say the alphabet.
LESSON DELIVERY
3. Introduce to the letter of the alphabet.
4. Play the recording. Pupils listen to the alphabet song as in the Student’s Book 1. (CD1 06)
ACTIVITIES 5. Play the recording again, in sections. Pupils repeat.
6. Use the karaoke version of the song for pupils to sing in group. (21st CA)
7. Teacher point to letters of the alphabet, pupils taking turn to say the letter.(21st CA)
8. Teacher monitors to check they are saying the letters correctly.
9. Pupils write the missing letters. (CBA)
POST LESSON
10. Sing the song again in group.

1. Pupils listen to and sing the alphabet song as from Student’s Book 1 page 6 again. (CD1 06)
LESSON DELIVERY
2. Teacher uses the picture in the Student’s Book to present the colours.
3. Point to each balloon in turn and say the colour. Pupils repeat.
4. Teacher plays the recording. Pupils listen and point to the balloons. (CD1 08)
5. Pupils listen again and say the colours.
6. Tell pupils to take out their coloured pencils.
ACTIVITIES 7. Play the recording (CD1 09). Pupils make a dot of the right colour in each hat.
8. Play the recoding again for pupils to check. They compare answers in pairs.(21st CA)
9. Demonstrate the activity by giving an example sentences. E.g. I’m …., My hat is … (and …)
10. Pupils say the other sentences in pairs.
11. Elicit the sentences in turn and write them on the board. (HOTS)
12. Pupils do exercise. (CBA)
