I am glad to recommend my student Mr. Goutham A for admission to Master's program in your
esteemed university. I have known him for the last four years of his undergraduate program over
which I taught him Fluid Mechanics, Theory of Vibrations, Computer Aided Machine Drawing
(Theory and Laboratory), Energy conversion laboratory, Aircraft systems & instruments subjects.

I find him to be hardworking, diligent and sincere in his work and efforts. He ranks in the top
10% in a class of 120 students. He has shown exemplary performance by securing 81% in Fluid
Mechanics. Some of the topics in which he gained expertise are properties of fluid, Fluid statics,
Buoyancy, Fluid kinematics, Fluid Dynamics, Fluid flow measurements, Flow through pipes,
Laminar flow, viscous effects, compressible flow.

Besides academics he has also volunteered “VTU Single zone Judo & wrestling (men & Women)
Tournament 2015-16” held at Koramangala Indoor stadium, Bengaluru. Wherein he has demonstrated
strong communication and leadership skills by managing the event according to the strategy of rules
and regulations, along with looking after the referees, participants and addressing their concern. He
also delegated responsibilities within his team and took charge of arranging all the requirements
needed for the event.

Personally, I have always found his very mature, personable and conscientious and to have a very
positive attitude about work. Overall, I remember him as motivated, hardworking and sincere. The
Department Board and I praise him for his determined and goal-oriented steps towards achieving
excellence in his field of interest.

On a whole, Goutham has good aptitude and an inquisitive mind to be successful in graduate
studies. I feel he is a worthy candidate for admission to you esteemed university. With your
distinguished program, he will further advance his understandings in the field and be successful in all
