May is the month dedicated to the Blessed
Virgin Mary, Mother of Christ. This is the
merriest and the most beautiful month of the
year. It is the season of colorful festivals and
Flores de Mayo or Santacruzan. This occasion
is held annually in the warm month of May
and considered to be the “Queen of the
Filipino Festivals”.

Commentator: We come now to the blessing of Sashes and Crowns.

Please all rise.

Fr. Benedick: Our help is in the name of the

Lord.
Commentator: Who has made Heaven and Earth.

Fr. Benedick: The Lord be with you.

Commentator: And with your spirit.

Fr. Benedick: Let us pray…

Fr. Benedick: Almighty and ever-living God, by whose
word all things in this world are
sanctified.
Pour forth thy blessing upon these
Sashes and Crowns and grant that they
may use them with thanksgiving and
reverence, in accordance to Your law and
Your will.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus
Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns
with You and the Holy Spirit, one God
for ever and ever.
Commentator: Amen

(Hence the Priest will sparkle the Holy Water to the Sashes and Crowns.)

PINNING OF SASH AND CORONATION

Commentator: At this moment, we will witness the pinning of sashes

and coronation, may we call on Mrs. Maredith Brazal,
the President of Confraternity of Saint Anne for the
calling of the Reynas.

Mrs. Brazal: To our respected parish priest, Reverend Fr. Benedick
Eguia, People of God, Good afternoon to all of you.
First of all I would like to thank our Heavenly Father
who has gathered us here today, for He always
guides His holy people to be united in peace and in
love as a Church. I would also like to thank the
persons who have given their full support monetarily
or morally and for their efforts to make this Search for
Reyna Elena 2018 a complete success. Especially
during the first and second canvassing last May 6 and
May 20, 2018. Without further ado, let us now give to
these young, beautiful ladies, their sash and crown.
To start begin with:

REYNA FE - symbolizes the virtue of faith because Mary is the

model of our faith. Our REYNA FE is MS.
PRINCESS CELICA RELUCANO.

REYNA ESPERANZA - symbolizes the virtue of hope – Mary is the hope of

humanity. Our REYNA ESPERANZA is MS.
PINKY ENGARAN.

REYNA CARIDAD - symbolizes the virtue of charity - the third

theological virtue. Mary’s heart is pure. Our
REYNA CARIDAD is MS. NIKKI ANGELIQUE
ORILLOSA.

REYNA DE LAS FAMILIAS- Mary is the Queen of our Families. We
come to her aid to ask for her
intercession to pray to God for our
needs. Our REYNA DE LAS FAMILIAS
is MS. MICHELLE ALBINO.

REYNA DE LAS ESTRELLAS-
She is the Queen of the Stars, She is the
star that lights the darkness of the sea
which becomes our guide in our
journey. Our REYNA de las
ESTRELLAS is MS. ROSALIE BORJA.

REYNA DE LOS ANGELES- She is the Queen of Angels, Mary

reminds us that we are also destined to
enjoy heaven together with the
Heavenly Angels. Our REYNA DE LOS
ANGELES is MS. ANNIE LOU ANAY.

ROSA MYSTICA- Mary reminds us that there are miracles, she also
reminds us that the grace of God comes through
different and mysterious ways. Our REYNA ROSA
MYSTICA is MS. MARIA CAÑAS.

REYNA DE LA PAZ- Mary is the Queen of Peace, it’s a title of the Blessed
Virgin Mary in the Roman Catholic Church. She
holds a dove which is the symbolism of peace. Our
REYNA DE LA PAZ is MS. JAEN RANIN.

CORONATION RITE
REYNA DEL CIELO- Her title is derived in part from the ancient
Catholic teaching that Mary, at the end of her
earthly life, was bodily and
spiritually assumed into heaven, and that she
is there honored as Queen. Our REYNA DEL
CIELO is MS. ANNIE R. GRACILLA.

REYNA DE LAS FLORES- She is the Queen of Flowers, the Queen of the
Flores de Mayo. Mary’s love is as gentle and
as sweet as a rose. Our REYNA DE LAS
FLORES is MS. TRISHA ANNE RITO.

REYNA ELENA- She represents Helena of Constantinople who

found the True Cross which is symbolized by
the small cross crucifix that she carries in her
arms. She is escorted by a young boy, her
Emperor son Constantine. Ladies and
gentlemen, our REYNA ELENA 2018 is MS.
ANGELA EUNICE M. OCFEMIA.

MRS. BRAZAL: Let us give these beautiful women a round of

applause.

Commentator: Please all rise.
