3. Anchor bolts shall be threaded as per
IS-42185
4. All open ends of tubes shall be covered with
minimum 3mm plates, unless noted
otherwise, to prevent ingress of moisture into
the tubes.
Painting of Steel:
SHS 220x220x6 1. Surface Preparation - Blast cleaned to SA
SHS 220x220x6 2.5 conforming to SSPC SP10.

2. Primer : Zinc Rich Epoxy 75 microns
3. Barrier : Epoxy Mio 125 microns
7000 4. Finish : Polyurethane - 50 microns. Finish
will be in 2 coats, each of 25 microns.
Second coat will be after erection.

Steel Fabrication:
1. All steel to be fabricated conforming in
general with IS-800
2. Dimensional variations to be as per IS-7215
3. Welding shall conform to IS-9595. Weld
symbols as per IS-813.
4. All welds are 6mm fillet welds unless noted
otherwise.
5. Appropriate welding electrodes shall be used
for welding conforming to IS-814:2004. IS
15000 ER 4211 electrodes preferred.
